Each handcrafted and signed piece of fine jewelry is carefully created with specific design criteria framed by principles of design and fashioned from a unique visual vocabulary developed from the history of every piece that I have created.

From earth to export, Dené Jewelry is dedicated to *Fair Trade - a socially responsible jewelry manufacturing protocol using the most ethical methods available.

*Manufacturing with Socially responsible Fair Trade principles insures that the consumer is educated to understand the fair value of their purchase by including as much information as possible from the wonders of the people and culture where their precious colored gemstone was mined to the journey around the world that it traveled in the marketplace to finally reach the customer. Dené is dedicated to seeking, to the highest degree possible, suppliers who can trace and document their sources to origin, in order to insure fair labor conditions - where workers are treated fairly and benefit from their labor, to insure environmental protection - to restore and replant mine sites when they are depleted with no hazardous waste, and also to insure full disclosure of any enhancement treatments the stone has undergone. In addition Dené uses Reclaimed Gold and Conflict Free Kimberly Process mined diamonds. The precious colored gemstones in our True Colors collection are 100% Fair trade with exception of blue topaz where origin and safe treatment are warranted however, the specific mine may not always be guaranteed. Fair Trade diamonds are not currently available but through the Diamond Development Initiative  www.ddiglobal.org   efforts and others we are close to realizing a 100% socially responsible product. Dene Jewelry has a rigorous diamond sourcing policy to ensure transparency. The gold used in each design is reclaimed and alloyed with metals mined in the US and adhere to Fair Trade environmental and fair labor protocol.
